Jos Blykers (Past Speaker)

Jos Blykers has spent over 30 years in IBM in different client facing (sales) and leadership roles.  In 2006 Jos moved from the business line to HR, first in the Human Capital consultancy domain, concentrating on Workforce Transformation projects, Leadership development and Change Management. In 2011 Jos went to work in Africa to contribute to the IBM African Expansion project as on site HR Transition Manager and Organization consultant to IBM Congo Brazzaville, thus facilitating the integration of the newly established IBM country and its employees into the wider IBM organization.

Integrating newly acquired companies into IBM is what Jos has been doing since September 2011. He is the Europe lead of the HR Acquisition & Outsourcing team, which mitigates ‘people risk’ and handles cultural and leadership challenges during integration.

In his work Jos keeps the synthetic view and positions the details in the “grand scheme of things”.  A senior HR professional he understands and talks the language of the business. Statistics and a sensitivity to intercultural challenges are part of his everyday toolbox. And he is not afraid of hands-on.
