Alraune Chowdury (Past Speaker)

Alraune started her career in technology as a Product Designer before she took over responsibility for Global HR Systems at Wells Fargo & Company in Minneapolis, USA where she and her team designed the first Employee Self  Service and Manager Self Service experiences as well as Talent Management applications to support performance & compensation review, talent reviews and blended learning. In 2007, she and her family relocated to the US Pacific Northwest, where she had the opportunity to work on designing and implementing innovative HR Technology solutions and shaping the HR Technology Portfolio and Roadmap globally for Amazon.com, Nike and T-Mobile USA. In 2016, Before joining Liberty Global, Alraune led the People Technology, Analytics and Operations function (People Services) at Booking.com in Amsterdam.

A believer in lifelong learning, Alraune continues to learn and evolve her understanding of technology and its integral role in today’s life and work. Alraune is actively engaged in the community of senior HR leaders in Europe to understand “New Work” and the effective use of technology as means to drive and create a futureproof and scalable People Strategy. 

Alraune is a dual resident of Seattle and Heemstede,The Netherlands, loving the mountains and the flat lands with equal passion. Alraune enjoys travelling globally with her family, learning new languages and cultures, and sharing stories and impressions through art and writing.
